It gives name, address, date entered industry, date of birth, notes on coalface experience, haulage and putting, and usually date and reason for leaving including information on future employment. It is not clear when it was begun but there are references to people leaving in the 1930s. the last entries appear to be 1975.
It is not clear who compiled this record. It may have been the lodge or the National Coal Board. |
